Why I fell in love with swimming

Yes, unfortunatelly it is true...I DO NOT like CARDIO!!
Whenever I try to run, I end up gasping for breath, looking like crazy sweathy tomato. Not to mention cycling or rowing...Basically the only cardio I can stand is HIIT (high intensity interval training) because it is typically short and hence bearable:) But swimming, my dear friends, swimming is a whole new ballgame !
Here are some reasons why swimming is AWESOME
Swimming:
trains evenly the whole body, especially big muscle groups (like pecs, abs, back and legs)
promotes the right blood circulation in the muscles
promotes muscle growth
ensures the right muscle stretching and laxation
promotes mobility of joints
(with the right technique) releases the tension in the spinal area
has possitive effects on vegetative nerves (like stimulative effect on heart and lungs)
by swimming we burn 2-5 times more energy than on dry land
